Move your Insomnia workspace over via OpenAPI.
There's no one-click Insomnia importer yet — but Insomnia can export any workspace as an OpenAPI 3 spec, and HTTP Titan imports OpenAPI specs directly. No manual re-entry of your endpoints.
Four steps, via the OpenAPI bridge.
The real path today — an honest one, not a claim of native Insomnia support HTTP Titan doesn't have.
- 1
Export your Insomnia workspace as OpenAPI
In Insomnia, open the workspace, then Export → OpenAPI/Swagger (available from the workspace dropdown). This generates a spec describing every endpoint, method, and parameter.
- 2
Import the spec into HTTP Titan
Create a workspace, then use Import → OpenAPI Spec and select the exported file. Every path and method becomes a request, grouped into folders by tag.
- 3
Re-add auth and environment variables
OpenAPI specs describe auth schemes but not live secrets, so API keys, bearer tokens, and environment variables need to be re-entered in HTTP Titan's Auth tab and Environments panel — a one-time setup, not per-request.
- 4
Invite your team
Add teammates to the workspace with a role and a shareable invite link, so the migrated collection is immediately usable by everyone, not just the person who ran the import.
Migrating from Insomnia, answered.
Straight answers, including where this path has real limits.
Is there a native Insomnia importer?
Not yet — HTTP Titan currently imports Postman collections, Bruno collections, and OpenAPI specs natively. The OpenAPI export/import bridge is the practical path for an Insomnia workspace today.
Will I lose my request bodies and examples?
Request paths, methods, parameters, and schemas carry over from the OpenAPI spec. Saved example responses and any Insomnia-specific plugins or scripts don't — those aren't part of the OpenAPI format and need to be recreated.
Does Insomnia's GraphQL support carry over?
No — OpenAPI describes REST APIs, so GraphQL requests need to be added manually after import. HTTP Titan has its own GraphQL request type with schema introspection built in.
Is this worth doing for a small workspace?
For a handful of requests, re-creating them by hand in HTTP Titan is often faster than round-tripping through OpenAPI. The export path is most useful for larger workspaces with many endpoints already documented.
